NBA

 

Today for my current events quiz I did mine about the NBA. I enjoyed doing this because I like the NBA and the facts were really cool and interesting. I found this challenging because all of the facts were really interesting and really good. one fact that I learnt was that Shaq only made one 3-pointer in his whole career.

SLJ Colouring

Today for Summer learning journey I coloured in this cool photo. I enjoyed doing this because I could use the colours in this photo and some other colours that aren't soI could make it colourful. I found this challenging because there were a lot of good and nice colours to choose from.

Today for my current events I did mine about Steven Adams. I enjoyed doing this because I like basketball and he is representing New Zealand for basketball, he also has very interesting facts. I found this challenging because all of the facts were really good.

Today my class did current events and for my topic, I chose to do it about Finland. I enjoyed this because Finland is an interesting country and a lot of good facts to put in. I found this challenging because all the facts were really good and some of them were funny.

Today Payton and I made a current events video about some facts about Germany. I enjoyed doing this because the facts were really funny and some of them were interesting. I found this challenging because we kept on messing up on our video because we kept laughing

Today I made a google drawing about Orca whales. I enjoyed doing this because they are a very interesting creature. I found this challenging because there are a lot of facts about the Orca whale and all the facts are really good

Today I made a blog post about Kamala Harris. I enjoyed doing this because I had no idea who she was and what facts about her. I found it challenging because I didn't know much about her.

Sportsmanship

 

Today I made a Sportsmanship slide about how to be a gracious winner and gracious loser and a bunch of other things. I found this challenging because it was a little hard to find the facts. I enjoyed this because the facts that I found were really interesting.

Jamaica Facts

Today Rhys and I made a google drawing about Jamaica, we did some facts about the country. I enjoyed doing this because Jamaica is an interesting country. I found it challenging because there were a lot of really good facts and I didn't know which ones to choose

Today Payton, Archie, and I made a sportsmanship for dummies video. I enjoyed doing it because it was really funny. I found it challenging because it was hard to think of things to come up with and it was hard to find all of the props

 Today I did a compare and contrast about Marion Jones and Spain's basketball team. I enjoyed doing this because it was really interesting. I found it challenging because there were a lot of interesting facts.

Today for my Current events I did the green puppy. I enjoyed doing it because it was really interesting because it is a really good topic. I found it challenging because it was hard to find facts because green fur on a dog is really rare

 Today I did Addition and subtraction using integers. I found it challenging because it is hard to remember what the integers are. I enjoyed doing it because other people who don't know how to do it and I can teach them

 Today I did timelines using scale I did it to show that I understand it and to show other people how to do it. I enjoyed doing it because I like showing other people how to understand their work. I found it challenging because most of them were spread out pretty far.

J.N Addition and subtraction

 Today I did Addition and subtraction with integers. I enjoyed doing this because it taught me a lot as well I didn't even know what integers was. I found it challenging because it's hard to remember what minus plus-minus is. I hope I taught you something

24 Hour Time

 Today I made a DLO about how to do 24 hour time I hope you found something out. I enjoyed doing it because there will be some people who don't know how to read 24 hour time. I found it challenging figuring out how to do it

NASA landing on asteroid

 Today for my current events I did NASA landing on an asteroid. I chose to do NASA landing on the asteroid because it sounded interesting and I like space. I enjoyed reading the facts about and how it has been circling it for almost 2 years. I found it challenging because there were not many facts about it.

Bridge Valley Camp

 Bridge Valley Camp

One of my favourite things was the waterslides but the black one was better because it was really fast, another fun thing was the flying fox because you went fast and you flung really high at the end. Some challenging things were laser tag because it was hard to figure out how to play but then I got the hang of it we didn’t win any rounds but it was still fun, another hard one was abseiling was hard because you had to climb up this massive tower to get to the top and it was like a maze I kept getting lost. When I got to the top it was really high up.

Tokyo see through toilets

 Today I made a google drawing about the new toilets in Tokyo. I found it challenging finding the facts about the toilet because they were all really interesting. I enjoyed looking and the transformation of what it looks like when someones in there vs when there not

Maori Kahoot

 

Today I made a Maori Kahoot because it is Maori language week. I found it challenging thinking of questions to put in my Kahoot because there are a lot of good words. I enjoyed thinking of the word and putting all of them together.

Maori Pronunciations

 Today Max and I made a Maori pronunciations video we hope this video taught you how to pronounce some Maori words. I found it challenging because we kept having to restart. I enjoyed pronouncing the words because it is my culture.

 Today I made maui the New Zealand demigod. I made this because it is Maori week and we got to decide what Maori thing we wanted to do and I chose to draw Maui. I enjoyed making it because you had to be precise and you the right colours. I found it challenging figuring out what colours looked the best.

Great Barrier Reef

For the past week, my class Taiao has been reading about the Great Barrier Reef. We have looked at information from both a book and article.

I enjoyed finding facts about the Great Barrier Reef because it was very interesting. I found it challenging reading the two long articles about the Great Barrier Reef.

Today my class Taiao made a Hello Goodbye poster. I found it challenging figuring out what to write for the poem. I enjoyed finding the pictures and customizing it.

M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today my mum and I made M&M Chocolate biscuits I really liked them because they were really yum
I Enjoyed making them grabbing the ingredients and putting them inside the bowl. I found it
Challenging mixing them because it was really heavy.

Recipe.

200g butter

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla essence

3 cups standard flour

pinch of salt

1 tsp baking powder

2 cups chocolate chips (We Used M&M's)

Preheat over to 180 degrees

Melt butter and add both sugars and cream these together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla then mix in dry ingredients.

roll into medium-sized balls making sure the mixture is not too wet. Put on a well-greased baking tray. They shouldn't spread too much so flatten slightly.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.

House Mesurments

Today I made a rough example of my house and some of the measurements I did one square equals one meter and the squares are on the book. I found it challenging to find out how far each room was and how big they are. I Enjoyed writing the names of the rooms on the paper

ANZAC Facts

ANZAC Facts

ANZAC stands for Australia New Zealand Army Force. They started fighting in Gallipoli on 19th February 1915 and ended on the 9th of January 1916. Every year people celebrate ANZAC day to remember the people that fought for us. 

Let's talk about ANZAC biscuits, ANZAC biscuits were made for the soldiers because they could easily be shipped and would not go stale throughout the travel. Still to this day people eat ANZAC biscuits. 11,430 people died in Gallipoli that day with 8,709 people from Australia and 2,721 people from New Zealand. 

ANZAC day is recognized on 25 of April every year.

I enjoyed finding the facts about ANZAC day because it was really interesting looking at them. I didn't really find it that challenging because finding the facts were easy to find
